This website is created and managed by Upsound and Juicebox ApS (referred to herein as "Upsound," "we," "us," or "our"), and all subdomains are also managed by Upsound. This privacy policy describes how Upsound and any affiliated companies handle personal information that we collect through the Upsound platform.
Upsound exists to connect musicians and service providers in the music industry, as well as to streamline and democratize the industry. For Upsound, both trust and transparency are important. A fundamental part of earning this trust involves clarifying how we use your information and protecting your right to privacy.
In the following policy, you can read about Upsound's commitments related to confidentiality and privacy. Over time, as our services evolve, there may be a need to use the information we collect in new and different ways. This may mean that we occasionally need to amend our Privacy Policy. If changes are made to our Privacy Policy, the date of implementation of these changes will be published on our website (referred to herein as the "Upsound platform") at the top of this text. 3.1 Information necessary to use Upsound platform
- Contact information, account details, and profile information, such as your first name, middle name(s), last name, phone number, mailing address, email address, date of birth, and profile and cover images, some of which may depend on the features you use.
- Identity verification and payment information, such as images of your government-issued ID (as permitted by applicable law), your social security number or other information we may need to verify your identity, such as bank account or payment account details.

- Further profile details, such as gender, preferred languages, city, and personal description. Some of this information, as indicated in your account settings, is part of your public Upsound profile and will be publicly visible.
- Contact information related to address. Addresses you import or enter manually.
- Other information, such as when you fill out a form, add information to your account or profile, respond to surveys, submit posts to forums and/or our blogs, participate in campaigns, communicate with our support and other users, or share your experience with us. This may include health information if you choose to share it with us.
- Information from your Google Calendar. If you use Upsound’s Google Calendar integration for your studio and profile, Upsound receives all events added to the selected calendar. Upsound only stores the start and end times and cannot see what the event is or what it pertains to. The information is used solely to determine when the studio should be open or closed. Upsound’s use and transfer of information received from Google’s APIs will comply with the "Google API Services User Data Policy," including the requirements for limited use.
3.3 Information collected automatically when using the Upsound platform and our payment services
- Information about geographical location, such as precise or approximate location determined from your IP address or GPS from your mobile device depending on the device's settings.
- Information about usage, such as the pages or content you view, searches, bookings you have made, and other actions on the Upsound platform.
- Log data and device information, such as details about how you have used the Upsound platform (including if you have clicked on links to third-party applications), IP addresses, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, unique identifiers, crash data, cookie data, and the pages you have viewed and engaged with before or after using the Upsound platform. We may collect this information even if you have not created an Upsound account or logged in.

If you link, connect, or log in to the Upsound platform using a third-party service (e.g., Facebook), you direct the service to send us information such as your registration, friend list, and profile information as governed by that service or as authorized by you through your privacy settings on that service.
- Background information. To the extent permitted by applicable law and with your consent where required, we may obtain information about any crimes committed by you. We may use your information, including your full name and date of birth, to obtain such information.
- Other sources. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may receive additional information about you, such as references, demographic data, or information that helps detect fraud and security issues, from third-party providers and/or partners, and combine it with information we have about you. For example, we may receive background check results or fraud alerts from identity verification providers for use in our fraud prevention and risk assessment efforts. We receive information about you and your activities on and off the Upsound platform or about your experiences and interactions from our partners. We may receive health information, including but not limited to, health information related to infectious diseases.

This includes, but is not limited to, the operation of our business and the Upsound platform, providing security for the Upsound platform, products, software, or applications, marketing, facilitating and receiving payments, and preventing fraud.

- We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations. For example, Upsound may retain information regarding tax obligations, legal reporting, and auditing.
- Information you have shared with others (e.g., reviews or blog posts) will still be publicly visible on Upsound even after your Upsound account has been deleted. However, attribution of such information to you will be removed. Some copies of your information may remain in our database but will be separated from personal identifiers.
- As we take measures to protect data against accidental or malicious loss and destruction, residual copies of your personal information may not be removed from our backup systems for a limited period.
